Why Tac Force Stands Apart
Purpose-built under the Master Cutlery umbrella since 1982, Tac Force combines fast-deploy engineering with bold design at prices that make quality cutlery accessible.

Rapid Deployment
Proprietary spring-assist mechanisms launch the blade with a single-finger trigger, reaching full lock at under 45 degrees of arc — ready when seconds count.

Diverse Blade Catalog
With over 222 active folding knife models spanning stilettos, tantos, karambits, and rescue configurations, every carry preference finds its match in the lineup.

First Responder Ready
Rescue-series models ship with integrated seatbelt cutters, glass breakers, and pocket clips — purpose-designed for EMTs, firefighters, and law enforcement professionals.
The Tac Force Story
Tac Force is a tactical cutlery brand developed under Master Cutlery, Inc., a New Jersey-headquartered company founded in 1982. Master Cutlery built its reputation supplying edged tools to distributors and retailers across North America, eventually growing into one of the industry’s most prolific catalog producers with over 2,600 active SKUs.
The Tac Force sub-brand emerged as the tactical and EDC-focused expression of Master Cutlery’s manufacturing capability, channeling assisted-opening technology and bold blade aesthetics into an accessible price tier. The line quickly found a following among first responders, collectors, and everyday carriers drawn to its reliability-to-cost ratio.
In 2015, Master Cutlery was acquired by Champlain Capital Partners, providing the platform further resources to expand its product reach. Today Tac Force spans spring-assist folders, karambits, fixed blades, multi-tools, and rescue knives — a catalog built around the principle that high-performance cutlery should never come with a premium barrier to entry.

Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions about deployment mechanisms, blade steel, or legal carry? The answers most Tac Force customers ask for are right here.
Most Tac Force folding knives are constructed from 3CR13 stainless steel, a grade that balances edge retention, corrosion resistance, and ease of resharpening at a value price point.
Spring-assisted knives are legal to carry in most U.S. states, but blade-length limits and locality restrictions vary. Always check the knife laws specific to your state and municipality before carrying.
The blade is manually pushed open approximately 45 degrees, at which point the internal spring takes over and snaps it to full open and lock. This differs from automatic (switchblade) deployment, which requires no manual initiation.
Yes. All stainless steel Tac Force blades respond well to standard whetstone, pull-through sharpener, or ceramic rod sharpening. New knives may benefit from a light touch-up to optimize the factory edge.
The Speedster is Tac Force’s flagship folding-knife line, featuring titanium-coated, mirror-polished blades, linerlock mechanisms, and aluminum handles. The series covers dozens of blade profiles including drop point, spear point, karambit, and tanto.`
Yes. Rescue-designated models typically incorporate a seatbelt cutter and hardened glass-breaker tip alongside the primary blade, making them particularly suited for first responders and automotive emergency situations.

Picked up the Speedster karambit on a whim and was genuinely surprised by the action. Crisp, fast, and the grip feels secure in hand. Great value for what you pay.

Bought the rescue folder for my car kit. The glass breaker is solid and the blade deployed cleanly right out of the box. Exactly what I needed for peace of mind.

The Milano stiletto looks sharper than knives twice the price. Blade came ready to use, linerlock is firm, and the spring assist snaps into position with authority. Definitely a collector piece.
